The Stress Test- By BBC

Today I just happened to come across a good game of testing reflexes. I enjoyed that and after that visited the main page of the website which was of BBC. They have a lot of interesting things in there. I complete the first one- Stress Test.

This is what I got. I am putting it here so you too can get an idea that if you take this test, what can you expect in the form of results:

Your score suggests you’ve been experiencing low levels of stress recently.

A)   STRESS-   2/18  LOW

B)   Coping Style:

We asked you to explore how you cope when you feel sad or depressed.
Psychologists recognise three distinct methods for coping. We all use a combination of some or all of these methods. Based on your question responses, we gave you a score for each method.
Some methods of coping are better for your mental wellbeing than others. By changing the way you cope with stressful situations you can potentially enhance your mental wellbeing.

1. Problem Solving
In this context, problem-solving means actively seeking ways of dealing with the causes of stress
    6/12 Medium
Problem-solving is the healthiest way of dealing with stress.

2. Ruminating
In this context, ruminating means to repeatedly ‘chew’ over stressful events in your mind as a way of coping with stress.
   3/18  Low

Your score suggests that you don’t often ruminate when faced with stressful situations. This indicates that you tend to use methods of dealing with stress that are better for your mental well being.

3. Risk Taking
n this context, risk-taking means to engage in risky activities as a distraction from stress.
0/12 Low
Your score suggests that you don’t often take risks when faced with stressful situations. This indicates that you tend to use methods of dealing with stress that are better for your mental wellbeing.

  C. Who do you blame?

In Part 1, your stress assessment, showed that your current stress levels rated 2 out of 18. Part 2 of the Stress Test explored why you might feel like this, and looked at how you cope when you feel down.

28% Others
26% Yourself
46% Circumstances

Others- Your score in this trait is medium. This means you sometimes blame others for negative experiences which are your fault.
People who tend to blame others think: ‘It can't possibly have been my fault. It must be someone else’s.’

YourselfYour score for this trait is medium. This means you sometimes blame yourself for negative experiences.
People who frequently blame themselves for negative experiences often think: ‘It must be something that I've said or done.’ They tend to have lower self-esteem than people who don’t blame themselves so much.

Shape matching test-  19/21
Happy/ Sad word test- 124/126
Friends and Family- 4038/6600
